Serving in Worship

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers help to lead the prayers during our worship, help set the table, and distribute wine during Holy Communion. This is a reverent and joyful ministry.

Ushers

Ushers greet people, answer questions, help with seating, take up the offering, and assist with Holy Communion. Serving as an usher is a wonderful way to welcome newcomers and regulars to St. Patrick’s.

Lectors

Our lectors read scripture during worship, proclaiming the word clearly, purposefully, and respectfully.

Prayers of the People

One aspect of our corporate worship is audible prayer led by a member of the congregation. Prayers come from the Book of Common Prayer, or are composed by a member of our prayer writing team.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares the altar for Sunday worship, weddings, funerals, and other liturgies, a ministry of service to God and to all who come to worship. Members serve in teams, one Sunday per month. Some tasks, like ironing the linens, may even be done from home. We're always looking for new members, substitutes, and helpers for special services. To learn more, contact Linda Williams or Janet Ahrberg.

Tech Team

Our AV team members operate the audio and video during our 10am liturgy. Skills needed are minimal, and volunteers are trained by experienced members of the team.
