Update from the New Rector Search Committee - 3/18/2021

The Search Committee has received the applications for the Rector position for St. Patrick’s from the Diocese and will start the interviewing process this coming Monday March 22. Of course, all the interviews will be via Zoom. After the interviews are completed, the Committee will select finalists who will go through a background check, a conversation with the Bishop, and another interview with our Vestry who will make the final selection. All of the candidates are very qualified, and the members of the Search Committee are looking forward to talking with them and getting to know them.

The interviews are planned for two-hour sessions and will give each of the individuals a chance to tell us more about themselves and ask us questions about St. Patrick’s and Pagosa Springs. The Committee has put together a group of questions that have been reviewed by the Canon for Transition at the Diocese and should give us a good picture of how each candidate will fit into the St. Patrick’s family as our Rector. This has been a long but exciting experience for us and we’re grateful for the support that we have received from the members of St. Patrick’s, Rev. Lyn Burns, and the Diocese. Thank you.
